Every honoured member starts with a nomination from the community. Here's who qualifies, and how to put a name forward.
Induction into the Oakville Sports Hall of Fame is achieved by individuals who have brought pride to the Town of Oakville through their involvement in sport. Selection is not limited to athletes and teams only. It is also open to builders, officials, administrators and media personnel who have made a significant contribution to sports in Oakville.
Athletes to be considered for induction should have been outstanding during their athletic career at the local, provincial, national, or international level.
Selection is open to both amateurs and professionals.
Builders include coaches, trainers, executives, and sponsors, who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, provided services or sponsorship that achieved long-term benefits to sport in Oakville.
Inductees may be selected biennially.
